Newsletter Chairperson's Message Dear Ladies We are trying to keep the CSB going but it is not easy! The venue for our Christmas bazaar got canceled due to unavoidable circumstances. When a hotel gets a request for a hall for 4 days it is understandable that we have to move! However, December 2nd has been promised to us and we hope we can count on that. The Diwali Mela will also be at the Ashoka Hotel on Friday October 17th. We have a request to all of you. It is becoming more and more difficult to get a place from the hotels to have our coffee mornings and Know India Series. The management wants something in return. At least for the coffee morning at the Ashoka Hotel we should try to have some members staying on for lunch. If we can do this on a regular basis I am sure they might giveus a discount. Another problem is the craft mornings. The traffic is just terrible at that time and therefore only a few members attend while there is lots to do. One option is to have it at our own home. Several members have already come forward to host a craft morning once in a while. Please contact us if you are willing to do this as well. This way it will be at different places in the town. The craft items are being taken care of. Just the place! The pot luck lunches remain a good fund raiser and the next one is at Mala Bhandarys house on August 27th. Thank you Mala. Indra has managed to arrange for a very nice road trip to Mahua Art Gallery on Sept 30th. Details of time and place you will find in this newsletter.
