The first meeting of Community Services of Bangalore was held on 17 March 1998 with a total of 74 members. The original Committee was:

In addition to the regular meetings and the annual Christmas Bazaar, a Helpline was run by CSB from 1998-2000. All Helpline volunteers received professional training. Members and Partners Night became an annual special event and in 2002 an International Food Festival was also held as a special event.

Cooking Demos: Teatime snacks, chocolates, desserts, preparing and icing cakes, German breads, pan-Asian cooking, Thai cooking

Craft Workshops: Decoupage, Japanese ribbon flowers and stocking flowers, clay modeling, paper bag making
